I Heart Faces this week is "Self Portrait"
Adult Category:
I went on a business trip with my DH to the LA area. While he was in meetings I took the rental car to the beach! The expression on my face shows the peaceful feeling I get whenever I am near the ocean. Oohhhhh...I miss it!Kids Category:
I know this will never win any awards, but it's an emotional one for me. I took it with my cell phone. My daughter, Jourdan, just called off a relationship with a guy she absolutely adored. The bottom line? She wanted religion, he didn't. She's been crying, but has come to sit in my lap for some nurturing and comfort. Oh~I love my girl! I am so proud of her for making good choices. She starts her first semester of college today.Be sure to take a look at all the other fabulous entries this week at I Heart Faces!
Beautiful shots. Your daughter sounds pretty incredible.
ReplyDeleteGreat story about your daughter. I've had so many of those moments as a grown-up, when I need to just hug my mom and cry. What a lovely relationship you two obviously have - great photos!

ReplyDeleteI love both of these shots! The crop on the first is great! But I ADORE you kids shot! It just screams emotion, even before I read the story! GREAT JOB!
ReplyDeleteI love everything about your self portrait - the expression you captured and the beautiful scenery behind you.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a poignant moment between mom and daughter. You really must be so proud of her!
