Melody for Hope

I was touched by this man's plea for peace through music at Ground Zero when I visited the World Trade Center site in 2007.

A sweet melody reverberated through the iron bars as the spectators looked on.

I went on a business trip with my DH to the LA area. While he was in meetings I took the rental car to the beach! The expression on my face shows the peaceful feeling I get whenever I am near the ocean. Oohhhhh...I miss it!


Kids Category:

I know this will never win any awards, but it's an emotional one for me. I took it with my cell phone. My daughter, Jourdan, just called off a relationship with a guy she absolutely adored. The bottom line? She wanted religion, he didn't. She's been crying, but has come to sit in my lap for some nurturing and comfort. Oh~I love my girl! I am so proud of her for making good choices. She starts her first semester of college today.

This is me and my best girlfriend (and daughter), Jourdan. Some say we look alike but I just don't see it. She is a kindred spirit to me, and just like our hair, sometimes its hard to say where either of us begins and ends.

This is my son Zachary at age 15. We had scheduled this day to take his "school" pictures, but he was in a sour mood. The best I could get from him was a pout! So no, he's not a little kid, but he still is a "kid", and if you know teenagers, you know they can pout!
